What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), and how do I claim it?

The CCS is a program by the Australian Government that offers support to families to assist with their child care expenses. Eligibility relies on factors such as family income and the type of child care services being utilised. In our case, since we provide child care services covered by this initiative, the CCS will be directly paid to us as the child care provider in order to reduce your fees, if you meet the eligibility criteria. To claim CCS, you must:

  1. Register for a MyGov account
  2. Link it to Centrelink
  3. Complete the CCS claim form with the required documentation and information
  4. Submit your application and wait for approval

After you submit your CCS claim, Services Australia will evaluate your eligibility and inform you of your subsidy entitlement. This process may take up four weeks — so don't panic if you have not heard back immediately. You can also check in with Services Australia if you have concerns, and they will provide an update.

How do you communicate with parents?

At our Roseville Kindergarten, we use the secure OWNA App, a mobile-based portfolio platform created to enhance communication between our educators and enrolled families. This amazing application keeps you informed about every milestone your child achieves, allowing us to share pictures, videos, and anecdotes of their journeys.

Moreover, the OWNA app provides you with the opportunity to interact with our team in time ensuring that you always feel connected to your child. By promoting trust, openness and teamwork, we can establish a partnership and guarantee the optimal development for your child.
