Normanhurst Childcare Centre
Welcome to Eikoh’s Normanhurst Child Care Centre, where we provide a welcoming, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-6 years to learn, develop and grow. Our experienced team of childhood educators deliver tailored programs that facilitate active learning and exploration through various experiences and activities.
We strongly believe in building a strong relationship between home and child care, so our programs encompass family input, children’s best interests, and the goal of fostering a multicultural environment that celebrates diversity. Our Normanhurst child care centre is assessed under current National Quality Standards, and our programs follow the Emergent Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework.
We have three specialised classrooms in our child care centre: the Possum Room (0-2 years), Koala Room (2-3 years) and the Emu Room (3-6 years). Each class is run by qualified Early Childhood Educators committed to providing your child with the highest quality education.

Our Learning Approach to Early Education
At Eikoh’s Normanhurst Child Care Centre, we apply a play-based curriculum that embraces the concepts of “Belonging, Being, and Becoming”, detailed in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). We support children to actively explore and interact with their peers and educators in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our interactive curriculum allows children to construct their identities, understand the world around them, and develop vital social skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, self-confidence, and independence. Our approach also emphasises the importance of partnership between parents and educators, focusing on open communication, trust, and mutual support in your child’s development.

Our centre uses a secure mobile-based portfolio platform designed explicitly for our centre and enrolled families. The Eikoh Child Care Centre App allows us to keep you up to date with your child’s development, sharing photos, videos, and stories. The app also allows you to communicate with staff in real time, respond to posts, upload photos, and stay updated on important announcements.
This dedicated app is available for iOS and Android devices, allowing us to communicate with parents better than ever before. This reliable platform provides a safe and secure environment to facilitate learning for children and collaboration between parents and staff.
How does the centre support children with additional needs?
Normanhurst Child Care Centre receives support from the NSW/ACT Inclusion Agency. This is an initiative of the Inclusion Support Programme, funded by the Australian Government. In partnership with KU Children’s Services, Include Me, and Gowrie NSW, our educators are given the assistance and resources needed to ensure the inclusion of every child in our centre, including those with additional needs.
Our centre is committed to facilitating a nurturing and inclusive environment that respects and celebrates every child for their unique abilities and contributions. We work closely with families and support services, such as the Inclusion Agency, to provide the best quality child care for children with additional needs.
