How enrolment works at our centres.

Most of our rooms have places available now, and families can often start soon after enrolling. Here is how it works, from your first contact to your child's first day.

The steps

1. Get in touch. Phone, email or the online form, whichever suits you.
2. Visit the centre. Tours run during the week, and you meet the director and the educators.
3. Fill in the online form. Each centre has its own form in OWNA, our centre management system: Normanhurst, Roseville, St Ives Chase and West Ryde.
4. The offer. The director offers you a place for the days you need. At Normanhurst and Roseville the offer comes as a letter, and you pay a $500 holding deposit, which is applied to your final invoice when your child leaves. At St Ives Chase and West Ryde, no holding deposit is needed while our 25% offer runs.
5. Orientation. A short visit with your child before the first day. If you need care quickly, it can happen before the offer.
6. First day.

If your child will start in a year or more, you can join the waiting list now. It is free, and the director will be in touch as your start date gets closer.

Who gets priority when a room is full

For funded preschool-age places, the NSW Start Strong guidelines (section 11.1) ask services to give priority, in no set order, to children who are 4 by 31 July and not yet at school, and to 3 year olds from low-income families, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children with disability or additional needs, children with English language needs, and children at risk of significant harm. Our enrolment procedure gives consideration to children at risk of significant harm and to families experiencing vulnerability or with additional support needs, then follows date order on the waiting list.
